PLC Programming, HMI & SCADA Engineering Services
Engineering support for industrial equipment, process controls and modernization projects—delivered against your application, installed platform and acceptance criteria. Elexorn provides practical PLC, HMI and SCADA work packages for OEMs, system integrators and industrial plants, with remote engineering options where the scope allows.
PLC programming and controls engineering
We help define or implement machine modes, startup/shutdown sequences, permissives, interlocks, alarms, PID loops and diagnostic functions. Deliverables may include commented PLC code, functional descriptions, tag/I/O schedules, design-review notes and test cases. The control philosophy and safety boundary must be approved by the responsible plant or OEM engineer.
- Sequence and state logic
- Permissives, trips and process interlocks
- PID and process control where required
- Equipment modes and operator commands
- Reusable function blocks and diagnostic logic
HMI and SCADA development
Develop operator overviews, equipment detail pages, setpoint management, alarm and event history, trends, recipes, production counts and reporting views. Existing PLC tags and communication architecture are reviewed before any screens or historian connection are engineered.
- Operator overview and detail screens
- Alarm and event handling
- Trends and historical logging
- Recipes and controlled parameter entry
- Production and utility reports
Platform and integration scope
Experience with Siemens and Rockwell / Allen-Bradley ecosystems, with other platforms subject to project-specific confirmation. PLCs, drives, remote I/O, field instruments, gateways and databases can be integrated using appropriate protocols and customer standards. Technology references are not manufacturer certifications.
Networks & Remote I/O
Controllers, operator stations, drives, remote I/O, instruments and gateways are integrated through appropriate industrial Ethernet, fieldbus and serial communication networks.
Brownfield Modernization
Existing I/O, sequence logic, HMI behaviour, alarms and communication dependencies are captured before replacement. This reduces the risk of losing operating knowledge during migration.
Testing & Commissioning
Software reviews and FAT are planned against the agreed functional scope. Site action remains under the authority of the responsible plant or OEM team.
- Offline logic review
- FAT with simulated I/O where practical
- Field I/O and loop checks
- Sequence commissioning
- Operator handover and stabilization support
How an overseas engineering engagement works
Start with an I/O list, existing software, screen specification or written URS. We prepare a bounded scope with assumptions and acceptance criteria, conduct scheduled reviews, and deliver agreed source files, backups and FAT documentation. Remote commissioning requires explicit customer-authorized access and local responsible personnel.

Frequently asked questions
- Can you work as a subcontract engineering team?
- Yes, on a clearly defined work package with confidentiality, deliverable ownership and change controls agreed contractually.
- Do you provide local on-site commissioning in the UK or USA?
- On-site attendance is available only where separately scoped and legally and logistically feasible, normally alongside a local implementation team.
